Plot Summary: "An erotic story about a woman, the assistant of an art gallery, who gets into a BDSM affaire with a stranger that takes place over 9 1/2 weeks. She barely knows about his life, so the relationship becomes complicated." Probably one of the better BDSM movies ever made and certainly one of our top 25 movies of all time. Kim Basinger firmly established herself in the hearts of people into BDSM worldwide and Mickey Rourke was equally good as the dom who played the sex games with her. Kim has made over 45 movies to date including her award winning performance in L.A.Confidental, but this is the role that made her famous. Adian Lyne directed what many people saw as a soft core porn effort, although there is little nudity in the film and most of it is dark and peek-a-boo style. During this movie, she is blindfolded and rubbed with ice cubes, introduced to a riding crop, has a food lovemaking experience, made to crawl before her dom, experience a bi-sexual experience, does a great strip scene and even does a masturbation set. I think that is about as far as Kim Basinger is going to go.
