Plot Summary: "A top surgeon is besotted with a beautiful woman who once ditched him. Unable to come to terms with life without her, he tries to convince her that they need each other. She has other ideas, but an horrific accident leaves her at his mercy. The plot is bizarre and perhaps sick at times, ending abruptly and with a twist". I'm not sure how to rate this movie. First, I should note that the director is David Lynch's daughter which should tell you something about her creativity. The direction is actually very good, the photography is fucking gorgeous and Sherilyn Fenn is about as nice of a piece of eye candy as you'll see in the movies. So, what's not to like? Well, maybe the movie. I guess this would fall under the "fetish" umbrella of movies because it deals with obsession of a man who , in order to have the woman he loves, amputates her limbs so she is totally dependent on him. The problem is that once he's done the surgery, there's no place to go in the story. A beautiful woman with stunning photography and no place to go. Enjoy the visuals... |
