"Learning Curve" aka Detention

Plot Summary: "A substitute teacher who is taking over a semester for a regular teacher, gets disgruntled with his snotty class. So in a determination to teach them something by any means possible, he abducts the class, strips them of all clothes and dignity, and proceeds to make them learn things one way or the other." This is actually a really good BDSM movie and one which I recommend for everyone. In some ways, it glorifies how BDSM can be used to enrich our lives and in many ways, that's what it's all about. In this case, a teacher who has a class of jerks decides to teach them a lesson through "tough love". He puts them naked into an electrified fenced area and of course, they demand their clothes back, water, food - just about everything that they need to survive is denied them until that gradually learn the lesson at which time they end up being model students. Is this an oversimplification? Yes! but nevertheless, it's very effective in this setting. Good director, good cast and good story make this independent film a winner for people that enjoy seeing good values triumph over bad manners.
