"Wife To Be Sacrificed"

Plot Summary: "A wife charges her husband with sexual battery. He escapes from the police and goes into hiding. Three years pass, she divorces him and tries to put the pieces of her life back in order when suddenly he returns. Obsessed with rage and hatred, he kidnaps her and brings her to a house in remote wooded area. There he disciplines her vehemently, subjecting her to increasingly shocking forms of sexual torture, tethering, suspensions and humiliations. Astonishingly, through the rage and lust, the pair develop a relationship that pushes the boundaries of lurid passions and perverse obsessions." This is one of the best examples of 1970's Japanese shocking cinema  sometimes known as pinky cinema and it's wonderful in many ways.  Obviously not for everyone, but if you're into BDSM, this movie will register with you. Not only does her ex-husband punish her, but he comes across a couple trying to commit suicide and he brings them back to his cabin to humiliate them in hopes of showing them what they're missing in their lovelife.  Some shocking scenes including a hot candle wax scene and an enema given to the suicide woman and a bondage bowl movement of Naomi Tani will get your attention. Obviously there are cultural differences that also existed in the 70's, but this movie held my interest all the way through. A surprise ending and beautiful photography in typical Japanese atmospheric settings and colors. Sub titled and an excellent DVD widescreen transfer make this a good movie for a complete DVD library.
