Plot Summary: "Assume The Position" is the tagline for this movie. The story of a young woman, recently released from a mental institution who gets a secretarial job with a demanding lawyer. Their relationship turns into a sexual, sadomasochistic one and the results are a very sexy movie with an s/m emphasis. James Spader, who has won numerous awards for his lawyer portrayal on TV's "Boston Legal" and who specializes in bad boy roles lately, is perfectly cast as Mr. Grey, the lawyer and boss who enjoys humiliating his secretary played to perfection by sexy Maggie Gyllenhall. This is one of the best films of 2002 and won numerous awards for the storyline and acting. It is a must for every home library of people who are into alternate lifestyles with an emphasis on spanking. Maggie gets bent over the desk and spanked nicely in this movie and I don't know how many Hollywood actresses would have taken this role. But she did and she was perfect in every way. If you're into spanking and boss/employee relationships, I strongly recommend this movie.
