"Irreversible"

Plot Outline: "Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex (Monica Bellucci) is brutally assaulted and beaten by a stranger in the underpass. Her boyfriend and ex-lover take matters into their own hands by hiring two criminals to help them find the rapist so that they can exact revenge." This is a film that takes place in reverse order, hence the title "Irreversible". Although the title implies a double meaning and it does since what happens is not reversible regardless of the content of which the film is made. This film actually contained some explicit sex scenes but the main reason this film was so controversial had to do with the assault and murder of Bellucci in the film. The scene is nine minutes long shows the rapist having anal sex (not explicit) with Bellucci before her kicks and fist beats her face. This is a VERY brutal scene that is not captured properly in stills so watch the abbreviated video if you have the stomach for it or if you want your personal DVD, click on the Amazon link to the left.
